Childhood's Dream is a family-run business, started in 2008. Our aim is to provide an exciting shop to explore for children and adults alike, where you will find lots of fascinating toys.
We created Childhood's Dream with the aim of bringing high quality, high play value affordable toys to Winchester. Our strap line is "brilliant toys made to last" and to fulfil this we have gone out to find the best toys we can. Wooden Toys and other Traditional Toys are a key focus for us.
When choosing toys for our shop we look for good design, quality, play-value and sustainability. It is important to us that the toys we sell are really well made, and robust enough to withstand many years of play. We believe that the toys we offer are not easily found elsewhere, and that every time you visit you will find something new.
We have a large range of Plan and "I'm" toys. We stock Moulin Roty from France, and Kathe Kruse, Haba, Gluckskafer and Fagus from Germany. We have the highly regarded Quadrilla Marble runs, scooters and trikes, Musical Instruments, including Guitars, Recorders and Xylophones and stock a wide range of both Usborne and Barefoot books. You will also find a wide range of Dressing Up Clothes, both in the shop and available to order.
All of our toys are available Online or in our shop at the junction of Southgate Street and Winchester High Street.

Childhood's Dream is located in historic Winchester, a couple of minutes walk from Winchester Cathedral and King Arthur's Round Table (at Westgate).
We are at 4 Black Swan Buildings on Southgate Street, just off the upper High Street. If you are worried about finding us, don't be; the sheep are rather distinctive!
